Electric City Maker Faire at Union College in Schenectady!

Build a paper straw pyramid, learn the art of quilling, and make a circuit to light up your artwork using Chibitronics Launchpad LEDs and batteries! I’ll be there with displays of projects from my books MAKING SIMPLE ROBOTS, BOTS, and PAPER INVENTIONS and copies to autograph. Electric City Maker Faire, hosted by the Union College Maker Web, is held every other year. The 2022 event attracted over 35 exhibitors and 400 guests. Admission is free and features exhibitors, demonstrations, workshops and hands-on activities. Exhibitors include faculty and students, local makers, small businesses, high school STEAM programs, First Robotics, local Maker Spaces from Union, the Capital District, and beyond!

Programmable Robot Inchworms at Voorheesville Public Library

Design and prototype a simple crawling robot from cardboard and office supplies that moves on its own. Then add and code electronic components to bring it to life! This workshop is perfect for first-time programmers and anyone who likes creating cute companions out of everyday stuff.
