Pushrod linkage

A linkage is a mechanism that lets connected parts move in different directions. It’s made up of two or more parts connected by pivots.

A pushrod linkage keeps the same kind of motion but changes direction. It translates oscillating motion down to oscillating motion up.

We’ll make a pushrod from a paperclip. The servo will swing one end of the rod along a curve. The other end will push the front of the robot out in an opposite curve.
