Live Online Programs

Set up a Zoom conference or Facebook Live event for a real-time, build-along workshop! You may also combine a live program with a link to my pre-recorded video at a discounted rate.

The projects themselves take from 30-45 minutes and include written instructions to read online or print out. I also include links to more online resources, so families can build upon what they’ve learned. Parents, teachers, and librarians tell me their kids keep working and improving their designs for weeks afterward!

Don’t forget — add my books to your collection for more STEAM information and activities!

Pre-recorded Video Workshops

Just like my live workshops, my instructional videos are designed to get kids building! I keep the screentime short — roughly 15 minutes — and encourage students to try their own designs.

The video is embedded on the instruction page for the project, which has the same materials list, directions to print out, and links to additional resources as the live workshops.

Pre-recorded videos can be made available for two weeks or longer, depending on your needs.

Details and Fees

Fees for my online workshops are negotiable. Reduced rates are available for multiple programs at the same location and for group bookings for several locations, including through library systems.

Materials

Unless otherwise noted, workshops require only everyday stuff like school supplies, kitchen basics, old t-shirts, or recycled cardboard boxes.

My Build BOTS and Tech and Coding workshops require only inexpensive, easy-to-find electronic components. Some can be salvaged from dollar store devices (instructions available). I’m happy to discuss ways to provide you with kits and specialized materials for you to distribute to participants.
